This portfolio can be read without an account. It has no advertising, visitor analytics, contact form or embedded third-party media. Technical data is still processed to deliver and protect the website.

1. Who is responsible?

2. Hosting and technical access data

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Requests pass through Cloudflare’s network. Cloudflare processes connection and request data, including IP addresses, routing and device or system information, to deliver content and protect its services.

My legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure professional portfolio. Processing connection data is necessary to serve the pages. You are not required to provide additional personal information.

Cloudflare acts as a processor for customer logs and content handled on my behalf. It also processes certain network data for its own purposes as described in its privacy policy. Its group companies and service providers may participate in processing.

3. International transfers and retention

Cloudflare operates a global network; processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Its Data Processing Addendum, incorporated into its self-service agreement, describes the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, for restricted transfers, EU Standard Contractual Clauses. These documents provide details of the safeguards and the contractual terms.

I do not maintain a separate visitor log. Cloudflare’s retention depends on the service, operational and security needs, and legal obligations; its privacy policy explains these criteria. No single retention period is promised here for all hosting and security data.

4. Cookies, local storage and analytics

The portfolio itself does not set cookies or use local storage, visitor profiling, advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not enabled. Fonts, images and downloadable PDFs are served with the website, not loaded from third-party font or media services.

Cloudflare may use technically necessary security cookies when a protection or challenge mechanism applies. These are separate from advertising or audience measurement; Cloudflare describes them in its security-cookie documentation. Where storage or access is strictly necessary to provide the requested service, Section 25(2) TDDDG permits it without consent. No optional tracking is used on this website.

5. Email and external links

An email link opens your email application. Only if you send a message do I receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message. I use it to respond and discuss professional opportunities, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 6(1)(b) applies where the communication concerns pre-contractual steps with you.

Correspondence is handled through my iCloud email service. Apple’s processing is described in its privacy information. I retain correspondence for as long as needed for the enquiry or subsequent professional relationship, or to meet applicable legal obligations or preserve relevant evidence for legal claims.

Certificate verification, LinkedIn and other external resources are ordinary links. Opening them takes you to the relevant provider, whose privacy rules then apply. They are not embedded in this portfolio.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future.

You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please use the contact above.

You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, including the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA). This website does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
