Jan Buschmeyer · B2B marketing & communications

Marketing leadership.
For complex technology.

I make technology clear — and build the teams, stories and marketing structures that bring it to market.

Industrial experience. International execution.
Hands-on curiosity for AI.

Why Agile Robots

Beyond the robot.
The value of a connected system.

What draws me to Agile Robots is the ambition to bring robotic hardware, AI and industrial integration together — from force-sensitive manipulation to mobile robotics and connected production. That creates a marketing challenge I want to help solve: make the system understandable through the value of each application.

Technology with a purpose

Make the application clear.

I’ve marketed industrial systems whose value becomes clear only when you understand the customer’s operation. That is the perspective I would bring to Physical AI.

A connected organisation

Give expertise a shared direction.

I’ve built marketing across different companies and countries: a common story, clear responsibilities and room for local knowledge.

Progress with responsibility

Stay curious. Keep judgement.

I explore new tools by building with them. I also ask what can go wrong, where evidence is missing and which decisions must stay with people.

My interpretation of the opportunity, informed by Agile Robots’ company principles and Head of Marketing role.

Selected work · Industrial marketing

Built in practice.
Relevant to what comes next.

Different technologies. A recurring task: understand the application, make its value clear and organise the work that brings it to market.

Viessmann · Industrial Solutions

A shared direction.
Across different businesses.

Organisation · Brand · Communications

I built and led marketing, PR and external communications for a newly formed industrial business unit — connecting central and local teams around a common approach.

Inside the work

My contribution

I established integrated planning, led marketing specialists across the group and worked with sales, product management and industry management. Together with the business leadership, I helped move communication from individual products towards customer-specific industrial solutions.

What changed

A coordinated marketing function took shape: shared priorities and clearer responsibilities. Press releases, trade articles and editorial meetings connected with digital content, campaigns and exhibitions. Technical expertise became easier to communicate consistently.

What carries across: aligning specialist businesses without losing the knowledge that makes each of them valuable.

Viessmann Climate Solutions · Carrier

From product display
to real experience.

Experiential marketing · International delivery

I developed Mobile Brand Spaces into an international, multi-brand marketing and events platform — bringing complex heating, cooling and energy solutions directly to customers and partners.

Inside the work

My contribution

I shaped the concept and led its delivery with country organisations, technical teams and external partners. Modular displays and adaptable digital content supported local needs. Event planning, on-site delivery, lead capture and follow-up formed a connected process.

What changed

The programme became an international platform with consistent brand execution and structured feedback. Partner toolkits and communication before, during and after events extended the experience beyond the venue.

What carries across: making advanced technology tangible through demonstrations, showrooms and customer-facing experiences.

Viessmann · Industrial Cockpit

Make a digital solution
easy to explain.

Product marketing · Technical content

An industrial monitoring solution needed more than a feature list. I developed the marketing package that helped sales teams explain what the technology meant for plant operators.

Inside the work

My contribution

I translated the proposition into a coordinated brochure, flyer, sales presentation and exhibition simulation. The materials connected technical capabilities with the questions industrial customers ask.

What was delivered

A practical set of launch and sales materials for a cloud-based analysis and visualisation solution. My responsibility was product communication and market presentation.

What carries across: connecting hardware, software and customer use cases in an understandable product story.

AI, robotics & continuous learning

Curiosity that turns into work.

I want to understand new technology well enough to ask better questions, recognise useful applications and build with it. That means learning the principles — and testing my own ideas.

MIT Sloan & CSAIL · Executive education

From AI concepts
to an industrial use case.

In Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy, I studied robotics in business, including lectures by Professor Daniela Rus on Physical Intelligence and human–robot collaboration.

For my course work, I explored how predictive maintenance, AI-assisted technician support and autonomous inspection could work together in an industrial service model.

Applied course project · Concept

The question I explored

How can intelligent systems help people maintain complex equipment?

Predict maintenance needsSupport the technicianInspect physical assets

The work connected potential business value with implementation constraints, human oversight and the limits of automation. I also explored industrial robotics use cases in logistics, manufacturing and inspection.

My perspective: connect technical capabilities with customer value, realistic applications and clear communication.

Independent development

Less noise.
A clearer technology picture.

Intelligence briefing · Independent MVP

I built a workflow that collects technology news, assesses relevance and produces an attributed briefing with links to the original sources.

How it works

Using n8n and language models, I connected source collection, structured relevance assessment, filtering and synthesis, with delivery through a Telegram bot.

I designed, implemented and tested the workflow myself. Source links make the brief inspectable; they do not remove the need to check an AI-generated interpretation.

Marketing application: a pattern for monitoring technology, competitors and market developments.

Independent workflow design

Content at speed.
Judgement by people.

WATTSON Content Factory · Concept

I designed an editorial workflow that separates research, topic selection, writing, brand review and claim checking — with human approval at the decisions that matter.

Inside the design

Specialist agents have defined tasks and structured handovers. A source-linked claim register records what supports each factual statement. Human review is required before an approved angle enters production and before content is released.

The architecture specifies n8n orchestration, PostgreSQL records and Slack-based review. Editorial decisions and revisions remain visible and traceable.

Marketing application: scale a disciplined editorial process while keeping brand decisions and factual accountability with people.

Saïd Business School, University of Oxford

Responsible AI is
a leadership task.

My completed AI Governance course covered bias, misalignment, over-reliance, lifecycle oversight and incident response.

The principle I take into my work: define accountability and review points before scaling automation. For communications, that means knowing where a claim comes from — and who approves it.

How I work

Clear direction.
Room for people.

Good marketing depends on specialists doing their best work together. My job is to give that work direction, remove obstacles and stay close enough to help deliver it.

Start with the real question.

I work with technical and commercial colleagues to understand the application before choosing the message or channel.

Build the conditions for delivery.

Clear priorities, realistic plans and shared responsibilities matter as much as the idea. I stay involved from concept to implementation.

Keep learning. Share what works.

I explore new methods, invite challenge and make knowledge available to the team. Experience is a foundation, not a reason to stop changing.
